6SN7 tubes was released in late 1939 year,frequently used in television as a vertical deflection amplifier,in a fifties was often used in audio usually in a driver stage of power amplifiers.One of the first high-fidelity amplifier design "Williamson amplifier" published in "Wireless world" suggested use of 6SN7 in amp circuit.
